1. Colourful paper lanterns
This rainbow installation of paper lanterns at the beautiful Upwaltham Barns in West Sussex really were a talking point for guests. The lanterns created drama and excitement when juxtaposed with the rustic brickwork of the South Barn above the candlelit dinner being served below. Don't forget that rainbow brights suit any venue - barns, marquees, village halls - and any season, whether you're going for a summer festival vibe or a twinkling winter showstopper.

2. Canopy of white paper lanterns and sparkling fairy lights
These white lanterns and fairy lights created an ethereal backdrop to this elegant wedding at Laughton Barns in East Sussex. Using white on the ceiling of your wedding venue creates instant drama over a whole variety of styling beneath; you can continue the white theme below with traditional or rustic elements or introduce colour as a striking contrast to the white above.
3. Mint and pink lanterns and pompoms
This fun installation at Worthing Dome in West Sussex really was a showstopper! The beautiful combination of colours stood out dramatically against the white of the surroundings. This space below the whispering gallery really lends itself to a beautiful installation as guests can see it from different angles as they move from above, down the stairs and then stand underneath. Tissue pompoms add a more relaxed feel to the decor and can be made in any colour to suit your theme.

4. Green and white paper lantern installation
This paper lantern installation is a brilliant example of creating an impact for your guests as soon as they walk through the door, and clearly conveying your colour scheme from the very first moment. Hanging lanterns from invisible wire at different heights adds to the impact of the overall space and mixing different shades of the same colour against the white backdrop of the marquee at Southsea Castle beautifully complemented the foliage and purple accent colours below - stunning!
5. Adding bunting to lights and lanterns
Look at this dreamy colour combination! Laura and James opted for a warm autumnal colour palette for their wedding at the charming Northease Manor in East Sussex. Fairy lights and white paper lanterns sparkled against the dark wood of the barn while raspberry and peach bunting, lovingly made by James' mum, added warmth to the overhead decorations. Barn venues with their wooden beams and brickwork provide a perfect backdrop for dramatic ceiling displays in any colour.
6. Tropical coloured lanterns with festoon lighting
Paper lanterns are the perfect addition to festoon lights. They can either be placed over the bulbs of the lights to create illuminated shades, or hung in-between the bulbs to create a ceiling full of light and colour. Here at the stunning St. Paul's in Worthing, East Sussex, we used tropical hues with splashes of gold to create a warm, luxurious background, while the festoon lights provided a fiesta feel to the overall look. Gold paper lanterns add a touch of luxury to any colour scheme, or look fantastic teamed with white for an elegant, opulent design.

7. Traditional bunting
You can't go wrong with traditional bunting to brighten up a venue, particulalry if the space needs a burst of colour like at this village hall in Felpham, West Sussex. It's no secret that we love a village hall celebration and we loved this blue and white themed party - the pretty hues contrasted beautifully with the red brick walls of the hall. Village halls are ideal venues for wow-ceiling decor as installations can often cover up elements such as strip lighting which you'd like to hide.
8. Geometric lanterns and parasols
The huge candelabras at Upwaltham Barns, West Sussex, provided the perfect structure from which to suspend our rose gold geometric candle holders. Entwined with greenery, this ceiling decor provided a beautiful centrepiece for the grand space, almost creating the feel of an overgrown enchanted woodland. We teamed this with beautiful white parasols to create an unusual but elegant display.
9. Vintage pink and cream paper lanterns and pompoms
The wedding breakfast of this vintage themed wedding at Worthing Dome, West Sussex, took place under this whimsical installation of cream and pale pink lanterns and pompoms. It was beautiful when viewed from below but was equally stunning when looking down through the installation onto our tablescape below. It's important to get the design of your ceiling decor just right so that it looks fabulous when viewed from any angle.
10. Pastel paper lanterns
Finally, take a look at this pastel perfection! At the beautiful Upwaltham Barns, West Sussex, paper lanterns in delicate shades of sage green, pale pink, white and lavender were hung on invisible wire at differing heights to create a showstopping spectacle above the wedding guests' heads, a perfect example of how to emphasise your colour scheme and link your decoration theme together.
